Before your first Tattoo Removal session
- Quit or limit smoking for at least 4 weeks
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning products for 4 weeks
- Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion or other resurfacing procedures for at least 2 weeks
- Do not use retinoids, glycolic acids or other exfoliating products on the treatment area for at least 1 week
Before each Tattoo Removal session
- Eat and stay hydrated
- Avoid taking ibuprofen or aspirin
- Wear loose-fitting clothing over the treatment area
- Shave the treatment area 24 to 48 hours before your session
- Remove all makeup, lotions, deodorant and oils from the treatment area
- Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours
After each Tattoo Removal session
- Avoid hot showers and saunas for 48 hours
- Do not apply makeup, creams or medications on or near the treated area for 48 hours
- Avoid physical exercise for 5 days
- Stay out of direct sunlight, hot tubs, pools, salt water and high-pressure water for 2 weeks
- Use cold compresses to reduce swelling or discomfort as needed
- Refrain from alcohol consumption for 3 to 7 days
Throughout the entire Tattoo Removal journey
- Do not wax, pluck or use depilatory creams on the treated area between sessions
- Quit or limit smoking as much as possible
- Protect the treated area from the sun by using sunscreen or covering it
