How to Prepare for your Spray Tan at Smooth & Tan
To get the most out of your tan, a little prep goes a long way. Here’s what we recommend for best results:
Before your tan:
- Exfoliate in the days leading up to your tan
- Wax or shave at least 24 hours prior
- Avoid moisturisers, oils, perfumes and deodorant on the day of your appointment
- Wear loose, dark clothing and slip on shoes to your appointment
This pre-tan prep ensures a smooth, even application and helps your glow last longer.
Immediately After your tan:
- Avoid touching your skin while your tan is drying
- Do not wear moisturisers, oils, perfumes and deodorant directly after application
- Avoid activities that will make you perspire excessively for at least 24 hours
- Wait the recommend time before rinsing, using warm water only
- Gently pat dry with a towel post-shower
Ongoing Care:
- The day after your tan you can shower normally
- Moisturise daily using Moroccan Tan products (available at Smooth & Tan) to extend the life of your tan
- Avoid exfoliating products and hot water
With proper aftercare, your Spray Tan can last 7-10 days and will fade evenly.
